T
he RHS Botanical Art and Photography Show 2025 is back for a fifth year at
London's Saatchi Gallery, showcasing the very finest botanical artists and
photographers. The Show is free to attend and open from now until 27 July from
10am to 6pm, with the last entry to the Gallery at 5.20pm
All of the art in the show has undergone a meticulous reviewing process by an
expert judging panel and has been assessed on aesthetic appeal, scientific accuracy
and technical skill. Once on display, the artists compete for an RHS medal – Gold,
Silver-Gilt, Silver and Bronze - as well as a ‘Best in Show’ award’.
Helleborus × hybridus - “Smokey Blue”
Brenchley artist Juliet Rouse,
as a first time exhibitor at
the annual RHS show, has
been awarded an impressive
Silver-Gilt for her exhibit of
Helleborus Orientalis from
the National Collection at
Hadlow College. It is a huge
accolade to be chosen to
exhibit, let alone receive such
a prestigious award.
Juliet has had a passion
for art since childhood and
gained a BA(Hons) degree
in Printed Textile Design at
Loughborough College of Art.
Having designed furnishing
fabric collections and worked
in interior design, family life
then took over. Juliet started
botanical painting a number
of years ago as a natural
progression from her design
work and is now completely
absorbed.
